They’re not fucking playthings, they’re human beings! Pageants I suppose are one thing. Some kids want to be in them. Whatever. But when you start spray tanning your children, giving them false teeth and instilling in them the false sense of what “beauty” is, that’s when it’s been taken too far. I’ve seen Toddlers and Tiaras a few times and it disgusts me. Half of the parents don’t give their children 5 seconds to get off the stage before they start ripping into them about what they messed up. Let your children be children. Most of them will come to feel awkward enough in their skin without your help.
